MARCHING MAKKUM 2019
Hallelujah!
Afgelopen zaterdag 19 oktober bestond de vereniging exact 125 jaar, dit jubileum moest natuurlijk gevierd worden! En wel met een heuse streetparade door het dorp (een primeur!) en ’s avonds in het MFC een jubileumconcert, met special guest Piter Wilkens.
Streetparade Makkum
Een droge vrij zonnige herfstdag… de muziekbands druppelen binnen bij het scoutinggebouw aan de Gedempte Putten in Makkum. In totaal 7; naast onze eigen drumband/lyrakorps waren dat: Drumfanfare CMV Menaldum, Malletband CMV Oranje Bolsward, Drumband De Marko’s uit Burgum, American Style Drumcorps Conspirito Joure, Showband Hollandia Bolsward en Showband Hosanna Harlingen.
Langs de route hingen de Friese en Makkumer vlaggen uit, en in de dorpskern was het al gezellig druk. Rond de klok van 14:00u ging de parade van start. Eén voor één, om de circa 5 minuten, marcheerden de bands richting centrum.
Bij ‘t Pareltje werd even ‘halt’ gehouden, want de mode-en cadeauboutique van Marijke Hollander stond geheel in het teken van ons 125 jarig jubileum. Ook in het centrum werden door de korpsen stops gemaakt, om stilstaande nummers ten gehore te brengen. Bovendien was iedere groep was vrij qua invulling van hun optreden, wat voor mooie en soms hilarische show taferelen zorgde; het publiek genoot!
We kunnen terugblikken op een prachtige muzikale parade met in het bijzonder nog een chapeau voor de zeven verkeersregelaars, die het dorpsverkeer tijdens dit evenement in goede banen hebben geleid.
